We have heard from many long distance commuters. Are there any LEAF owners out there that have approximately a 10 mi round trip non-freeway commute that are willing to share there experience or impressions? Charging strategies?

I find that I can go all week without charging up. I am averaging around 4.8miles/Kwh. Not too bad. I usually drive in eco mode. By Friday night I am usually down to around 30 or 40 miles left. I will charge up on Friday night so that on the weekend we can do any errands or activities with the LEAF and be ready to go. So just more proof how great the LEAF can work and how little you have to change your normal routine. Actually the best change in my routine is not having to go to the gas station on my way home from work.

Interesting. I may do that as well - but keep the SOC between 50% and 80% during weekday and charge to 100% for the weekend. So, may be 2 or 3 charges a week, depending on my weekend trips.prberg said:I can chime in here. During the work week I drive about 8-15 miles per day.. just on city streets. Not if you are not going below 50% or 60%/.LeafinThePark said:Theoretically, would it not be better to charge every night with Lithium batteries? I know this has been discussed in painful detail in other threads...but I do seam to recall it is always better to make many small charges than fewer larger ones.

The driving style detail in Carwings will break out the consumption into climate ("other"), regen, and juice from the pack to the traction motor, so you should be able to determine whether it was the heater or your inner Andretti being unleashed.
Does this match what the car shows in history ? People have reported carwings being too optimistic ...PDXLeafer said:Ah, so I can! Under the 'My Driving Style' I get the following additional info:
