Auto fold mirrors - how to disable

I have, and will continue to research this, but the lack of quick answers is not encouraging!

I just want to disable auto fold and unfold of the exterior mirrors when locking and unlocking, on a 2018 ZE1 japanese import leaf.

So far i have:
- Checked all the menus on the car
- Found that US and possibly other models have a key/remote button sequence for this - my car is a JDM japanese import and this does not work
- Bought LeafSPy pro and a compatible OBD dongle and non of the options there relate to this.

Hopefully this is ridiculously straightforward and just has not come up in my searches....

Anyone? Before I rip into the mirors and unplug things?

Update - what I have done, is to unplug the mirror motors.
