Has anyone on here tried to use portable solar panels to trickle charge their leaf? I would like to do this while I am at work, but not sure if this is an option. Not looking to charge to 100% necessarily, but maybe add about 15-20% over about 8 hours.

From rough math, if you wanted to add 15% to a 24 kWh Leaf (~21 kWh usable), you'd need to add ~3.15 kWh, not including charging lossses. You'd need an average output of 393 watts.

Since minimum current setting in J1772 standard is 6 amperes, you would need an adjustable 120-volt EVSE and enough solar panels with associated 120-inverter to provide a minimum of 720 watts continuous.
