Not bad, except for this:

Colorado residents can get a tax credit of up to $6,000 for the purchase of a qualifying vehicle, plus a tax credit of up to 20% for the purchase of a charger.

$17000? How is it that reporters always seem to forget about the punitive (almost 10%) sales tax in California? And mind you, it is levied on the entire $33k, not just $17k.
