This is one of the downsides to the heavy use of electronics in all vehicles today. I used to work for Packard Electric (now Delphi Packard), supplier of wiring for all GM vehicles. (I notice the 110v EVSE supplied with Leaf uses Delphi wiring). Our experience at the time was that electrical problems were the single most frequent cause of warranty work on vehicles. With a car as packed with electronics as the Leaf, it is a very tough challenge for a manufacturer to get it right. Some electrical problems may be inevitable. You just have to hope the dealer can figure it out.
