In the end, they are going to end up blaming being unable to develop their own pack on 'COVID-19 problems'. It's the perfect out for them.
I stumbled across the above URL via a Google search and noticed the video no longer plays.cwerdna said:I'm kinda "watching" the video at 2x speed. At around 7:25, in 1Q 2020, he essentially says that for the highest priority folks (battery condition is such that the person needs help the most), they will temporarily install a healthier or newer Nissan battery pack. There's more to the video and if someone wants to summarize, go ahead. I have no interest nor time to do so.dsh said::!: https://fenix.systems/news/fenix-news/2019/12/16/installs-begin-in-q1-2020

Indeed. After looking at Dala's recent video (above) and browsing his and Muxsan's site. I agree. We haven't seen diddly from Fenix in terms of deliverables nor any demonstration of technical prowess/competence.Lothsahn said:Dala said:Feels like me and especially Muxsan is getting way more done with less resources.
Definitely agree--what you, Evsenhanced and Mux have done is, frankly, amazing.

So, let's give them until Sept 28th to hear of an installation commencing.Regarding when installations will begin, this relationship accelerates that process and we are currently in the certification process of over 80 installers across the US and Canada. We hope to have installations begin in the next 10 working days. This financing process is heavily tied to that success.
They claim at https://fenix.systems/news/2020/02/01/500-reservations-2 and other places that they're getting their batteries from BigBattery. I recall seeing a pic of that some of that company's inventory before but can't find it right now.SageBrush said:Getting a decent pack for a reasonable price is far trickier for now, and I don't see how Fenix is going to improve matters. If anything it is just a middle-man whose only 'value' is financing and promise of warranty.
This smells bad.
I've read the same -- refurbs that come with 10+ capacity bars, paired with the Fenix 'warranty' of free replacement when capacity drops below 9 bars.cwerdna said:They claim at https://fenix.systems/news/2020/02/01/500-reservations-2 and other places that they're getting their batteries from BigBattery. I agree about the "value" portion.
From a quick skim there's at least that guy and another guy who claim to have paid in full. Seems crazy that they're still screwing around and haven't gotten their batteries installed.jlv said:I thought it smelled bad a few hundred posts ago. From that FB thread:
I have already paid in full for my CPO. When am I going to get scheduled for replacement?
:lol:Bill Bysinger on FB: We are a young company and to have someone of this caliber interested in working with us is an important validation of our vision and market direction.
People who care should actually question what it means to be "certifying installers". Writing it like makes it seem like something important is happening.dsh said:Bill Bysinger
"We are in the final process of certifying installers. Should begin battery shipments to installers this week with installations to follow based on distance from our warehouse of CPO Batteries on the West Coast. This has taken COVID Protocols and Financial Issues resolved to deliver."
