The weight numbers I've seen put it between 3500-3800 lbs or so. Pretty much the same as the Leaf.

Volt hasn't published it officially - but Leno commented that the car should be around 3800 (or was that 3900) and the GM person with him agreed.
 
It's not clear to me whether they would make the same offer to customers in the US.

I thought this was Japan only though... could be wrong.
