Pardon me for actually asking a Leaf related question here, but does anyone have experience using an iPhone 5 or the new iPod Touch with the Leaf?

I currently have a 4th Gen' Touch. I use it in the Leaf via the USB input to listen to podcasts in a smart playlist. I also have an iPhone 4 (work provided) that I connect to the Leaf Bluetooth only for phone functions. This has worked quite well for me. My family wants some new devices, and I am considering replacing my Touch with the new one or an iPhone 5.

Can playlists on the 5th Gen. Touch or iPhone 5 be controlled via the Leaf control head?

The iPhone 5 works just like the iPod Touch, on either USB or Bluetooth you can skip forward or backward through songs in the currently playing playlist.

Sorta related... I never knew about this Apple Support Profile page until someone posted it on TivoCommunity:
https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I can see my iDevices, warranty status, their serial #s, etc.

Side note: For all the noise about iOS 6's maps and all, Google Maps app is now available for iPhone. See https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-maps/id585027354?mt=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I just downloaded it and am trying it now.

For the money I have saved not buying any Apple products I will be able to get a battery someday for my LEAF :lol: ;)
I am not much of an apple fanboy (more often a critic), but all of the time I have saved and hassles I have avoided by USING Apple computers (buy computer, load software, be productive) has added to enjoying what lifespan I have...to each their own.

Also, for some contrast, I happily have avoided upgrading my iPhone to a 5 and am seriously looking to android (had a feeling Apple Maps would not be as good as google). ;)

Street view is "back" along w/public transit directions. Walking directions are also a little more discoverable than the native iOS 6 Maps app.

The only Apple product I own is an iPad 3 and while iOS 7 is nice, I have by no means found it to be anything other than evolutionary, and, in fact, have noted a number of things that I like and/or worked better in iOS 6...
