Well then, statistically, you should be good to go for another 200 years or so! :lol:
Averages will always bite you in the butt at times!

Well, it was considered a once in a hundred years storm so they should be OK for the rest of their lives...
we had 2 "hundred year" floods in a span of 3 years. that was 2 years ago. wonder how quickly the next hundred years will go by?
AGW = more extreme weather more often.

Such "100 year" events have no meaning any more.

Surfingslovak posted this video of Carlos Ghosn talking about Leaf sales. Seems like the current thinking at Nissan is that while range and price are both issues, Nissan thinks that price has to be addressed first. Of course this was before the "Baked Battery" issues started surfacing. That will be another hurdle. But seems like the plan is to start production at Smyrna and start cutting prices. http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/Viewpoi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I see GM is leasing the Volt for $249/month. Could we see a Leaf leasing for $199/month? At some price if your electricity costs are low the cost argument becomes compelling.

+1

That would make a good tag line for a commercial... "I was spending more just in gas each month than this car costs"

Of course you can always advertise low lease prices with an asterisk disclaimer for the high down payment, as many people get "hooked" by the low number.

Can the Model S number be added to the running title of this thread?

I'll keep top 4 numbers in the title. Tesla may not publish the numbers - so we will get S numbers only once a quarter (officially).

I watched the video. I love listening to him speak. He is such an intelligent guy! It would be stupid to think he isn't aware of the sales figures in the USA. However, he has a point that the global sales figures are somewhat more important than just the USA figures. So I'm sure they have a plan and are just waiting patiently.

Just curious what the 2478 other EV sold?

Most of them are "Bollore Bluecar": a selfservice electric car in Paris, using Bollore Battery (30-kWh Lithium Metal Polymer battery).

Volt deliveries in July at 1849.
Previous month (June) was 1760. Second best month sales. They produced a lot more than that with them going out of the country.
