mwalsh reported that the Cold Weather package will come with some sort of thermal blanket for the battery pack. Won't that interfere with heat dissipation during the summer months? Right now I'm more concerned with keeping the battery cool during the summer than warm during the winter.

BTW, googling around for the other 17x11 production numbers yields:

  • 17011 - Invalid
  • 17111 - SV / MSRP $32,780.00
  • 17211 - SL / MSRP $33,720.00
  • 17311 - SL + ETEC / MSRP $33,720.00 (includes CHAdeMO interface)
  • 17411 - SV w/ Cold Weather Pkg / MSRP ???
  • 17511 - SL w/ Cold Weather Pkg / MSRP ???
  • 17611 - SL + ETEC w/ Cold Weather Pkg / MSRP ??? (includes CHAdeMO interface)
  • 17711 - Invalid
  • 17811 - Invalid
  • 17911 - Invalid

And the original link to the SL w/ Cold Weather Pkg is now unavailable on the Hilltop, NJ dealership site. Now, there don't seem to be any price quotes for the Cold Weather Package model, so your guess is as good as mine for how much this could cost. Taking the cheaper 17111 (SV) model price as an example, the 17411 could be $300, making it $33,080.00, it could be $1,000, making it $33,780.00; it could even be as cheap as bundled $20 more for $33,800 or even free, but I think somewhere around $300 is where it's likely to split.

Now, given this, I wonder if anyone is going to try and hack their dashboard (be it in collusion with their dealership or even more nefariously private) to order the 17611 in these new markets, meaning a free CHAdeMO and Cold Weather Package for the price of an SV? Nasty person, do be cheating Nissan! They're making an EV! I  Nissan!
