This video (Innocence Lost - AutoLine Detroit 1438) has already been posted in another thread. But I just wanted to point out that you can hear the VSP (barely; forward only, no reverse sound) at three spots: (mm:ss into the video): 02:30, 13:08, 20:03.

The video is not a substitute for real-life experience (you had hoped for) at the Electric Tour ... but ... It's three locations where John McElroy brings the LEAF to a stop with the driver's window rolled down while the camera man/woman films him. You can get a good sense of the noise level in comparison to John's talking level from the driver's seat thru the open window. When the LEAF has completely stopped, the sound takes a short time to fade out completely.
