I know it's short notice but I'm trying to get the local Leafers together for this one quickly. My wife added the EV aspect to this and she's pushing Medtronic (MiniMed) to get Clipper Creek's installed at the site!

There's currently 1 other Leaf (unknown co-worker) a Volt and a few PlugInPrius's that she's contacted onsite. Medtronic has agreed to assign the EV's to a specific area for parking so that people can see and look at em.

I know it's short notice (she just told me  ) but if you're interested.. the address is.. 10:30am to 1pm.... I plan on being there at 11.

Thanks and hope to see you there!

Do you have any contacts that might be able to address the safety and use of Medtronic's implantable devices in electric cars such as LEAF?

My wife has such and Nissan warns against possible interactions when the car is actively charging. We have tried to get details from Medtronic but haven't gotten anywhere.

So for now she is quite careful to never be in the vehicle while it is charging, but of course that could be problematic if she ever needed to get a public charge, for example.

Big Special Thanks!!! to Alan (Leafer) and Matt (FitEV) for coming out and showing everyone EV's and how they can work for everyone's lifestyle! This is actual the first time I've met Matt and seen a Fit up close and under the hood so it was a great "mini meet" at MiniMed :D

Interesting how the engineer types are always the most talkative and inquisitive!! Once everyone seemed to learn about the DCQC ability.. and they could see the difference between Alan's and mine... it's amazing how their interest peaked!! "ohhh, I thought these things take over night" ,etc, etc was the common belief it seemed..

Total electric vehicles were..

2 Leafs, FitEV, Ford FocusEV, Volt (he runs so much on EV that it tells him that his gas is stale!! LOL)
