"2013 LEAF; 9031 miles. Ah; 64.72-66.27, Hx; 99.13-101.67%. @70% estimate; 117,726 miles"

Very questionable, as mine is:

2013 Leaf; Purchase 11/27/13, 8400 miles, 258 GIDs, 58AHr (60 X SOC) per LeafDD, 1st bar drops @ 53AHr

with the temperatures on the rise to an expected 100º by Wed, its really hard to tell right now!

My location is Manhattan Beach, so my temp is not in the typical problematic range.
And temp would not account for all the delta.

temperature is only one part of the equation. there are multiple threads here describing how these numbers can be manipulated and these manipulations are not marginal. Any time you can simply alter your charging habits and gain 4-5 ahr, there are other things to consider than just reporting numbers.

"Ah; 64.72-66.27, Hx; 99.13-101.67%"

Those numbers are super outliers which don't reflect what the majority of Leaf owners report.

HEY. This thread is not about Tesla gen 3. Go take it somewhere else.

I'm down to 53.54 Ah at 28,000 miles. Trending down, but not quite as aggressive as last year.

Here in San Diego I see no reduction in rate of degradation this summer as compared to last summer. Lost 2nd bar 10 months after 1st bar loss (see signature). From the posts I see a lot of the SD LEAF owners have very similar degradation profiles.

Reposting on this forum -

2012 Leaf SL purchased 3/27/2014 , driven in san jose, CA area - charged 80% (to 100% once a month)
19820 miles driven - says 4.2 m/kwh range

Battery readings on 8/2/2014
235 GID's
93.75% SOC
84.89% capacity (SOH)
82.13% HX
56.25 Ahr
84.7 F avg battery temp

2014 SV, manufactured Jan 2014
6 months, 10k miles: 278 Gids, 63.99 Ahr.

This summer my readings seem to be much more stable than last summer.
100% charge on 01/01/2014 = GID 242 - 18,126 miles AH=56.95 (85.96%)
100% charge on 08/01/2014 = GID 238 - 22,118 miles AH=56.97 (85.98%)

Not sure what the reason for this is, but maybe because the degradation was more pronounced when the car was new.
Now that the car is almost 3 years old the curve is going to be less per year. Any thoughts on this ?

I'm seeing the same thing but I ascribe it to a cooler than usual summer, thus far. Sure would be nice if it is true that the degradation rate does slow, as Nissan has suggested in the past. It is not as if I ever had a chance of using the battery capacity warranty, given where I live.

San Diego coastal too. Very similar time-line to your signature, though fewer miles for me in same period. Currently 51.33 AH 2 months into 10 bars

So my 2013 with about 10K miles (58 Ahrs) is about 3.5 AHrs from losing its 1st bar which should occur
at about 54.5 AHrs. In 10K miles my 2013 went from about 60.5 AHr to 58 AHr. Based on that loss data,
at about 24K to 25K miles its 1st bar will be loss, i.e. not as good as earlier Leafs.

I say you can't assume anything about your 2013 LEAF based on AH readings compared with the earlier cars. My 2013 has always had low AH readings but perfectly good driving range. Some things are different about some 2013 LEAF packs. There's a whole thread about it. My advice: don't sweat your AH readings if you don't experience real world range reduction, and don't anticipate bar loss based on these AH readings. And don't depress yourself by assuming your car is worse than others. It might just be "different".

Soy un perdedor!!!

Jeez, I thought I'd never get to join this club. 43 months (to the day) after delivery; lost my first bar.
Although my loss has been slow; per Stoaty's model my LEAF seems to think it lives in San Francisco rather than San Gabriel Valley; it looks like the loss is accelerating of late. Eyeballing the current trend, in about 8 years I'll be 100% charging to LBW and hit VLBW before I get to work. That will make me sad.
For now, I'm happy to no longer be such an outsider.

Get crazy with the cheese whiz.

~32k mi; 3.4 Wh/mi; Charge to 100% 3-4 days a week. Manf date: 11/2010; Delivery: 01/08/2011
Sparkys_LEAF_SOC_Trend3.jpg

After 25 months, I'm down to 51.08 Ahr (rapidly approaching a 23% loss). The 12th bar went really early, before I got the software update, and it never came back. Now, bar #11 is just hanging on what seems like forever.

I lost my first bar yesterday after 28 months and 35.7k miles. Mostly charge to 80%, charge overnight and at work using L2. 32 mile one way commute.

And I lost my second bar on Monday. Close to 11 months after I lost the first. My mileage is now at 46.6K.

A friend of mine has 2013 'S' manufacture date Jan 2013, and here are the stats after 19 months, 21K miles and two Dallas summers.

This reading below was taken after driving 2 miles after a full charge. So I guess you can add another at least 4 Gids to this - 265 Gids on a 100% charge or 6.5% degradation.

2013 Jan, Leaf 'S'
20,500+ miles
19 months & 2 summers
Full charge: 265 Gids
Ahr: 60.97

That is impressive! I may have to get one of them newfangled Lizard batteries in the future.
