I think I got a deal:

Silver 2011 SL with Level 3 'Quickcharge'
8100 miles
12/10 IIRC manufacture date (000296 VIN) one of the earliest cars I've seen.
10/12 bars on battery. (Is it possible for a bar to come back?) Shows 70 miles range at 100% charge with climate control, 83 without.)
-has been in Houston a while, and dealer had it for about a month. Bought on last day of their December
-only got one key fob. No manual.
-some minor dings and paint blemishes but pretty clean.

Paid $16,000 even. I got a little over KBB.com value for my trade-in, so that was a small plus. It was a Lexus dealer and they'd had it a month from a trade-in so I think they were glad to unload it. KBB.com *private sale* for 'very good' is $17,100 so $16K is well below *retail*. My only concern like everyone else's is the batter in Houston. We don't get quite as hot and I'm going to garage it, but it will be outside at work but not 5 days a week, perhaps only about 15 days a month.

I'm wondering if it was a rental in FL, that's what the title says. Or does it show that way if it's the dealer demo?

Wondering if I should get the bumper to bumper warranty for about $2k.

Also wondering what's up with the heater. It gets warm but that's about it.

Still have a couple months of factory warranty so plenty of time to get bugs fixed. Based on first titling date, which may have been a dealer.

Congrats! Get your warranty over the Internet, from Vaden. You'll pay a lot less than getting it from the dealer:

Pulled the trigger on Saturday.

2013 Cayenne red SV with LED/Quickcharge.
3 year, 15k mile lease

State : California
Sales tax % : 7.5%
Leaf Trim, options : SV w/LED, QC & floormats
MSRP : 34,470
Negotiated Price : $30,288
Downpayment : $1,300
Monthly payment : $262.38 + $19.68 taxes = $282.06

The $2500 state rebate is 'worth' almost $70 a month, so my effective monthly payment is $212 per month.

I expect the "gas mileage" will be better than what's sitting next to it in the garage.

That looks like a great deal. I am trying find something similar. I thought that the QC port was only available on the more expensive SL model. Did you have to search for an SL with QC? Do you know if it is possible to find an S model with QC? Thanks

I bought an S model this past weekend with QC port. I got extra warranty that I regret, but my final payment in CO is $288/mo, not counting the CO tax credit I'll be getting next year.

QC is available on the S model as an option bundled with the faster 6.6kw charger (the unoptioned S model is 3.3kw) and the rearview monitor for $1,300.
The SV has the 6.6kw charger standard but QC is bundled with the LED headlights and incandescent fog lights for $1,630.
The SL has QC as standard equipment.

Thanks! I found an S with QC, now need to negotiate with dealer. Any tips? What can I expect for factory warranty (I gather I should get 3rd party extra warranty if needed). Also what is the Leaf maintenance schedule? Is that covered by dealer or owner and is that a point of negotiation. I need some ammo so I know what I am talking about. Can anyone outline the main negotiating points I need to cover?

My wife and I just bought a new 2014 S Model with charger. Our complete out-the-door price (including taxes, fees, registration, etc) was $29,840.35. We made a down payment of $9,840.35 and took a 60-month loan at 1.9% for the remainder. Our monthly payments are just under $350.

On top of that, we will be receiving the $7,500 federal tax credit and a $5,000 state tax credit (Georgia).

I'm pretty happy with that deal!

Congrats! If I lived in GA I'd have two LEAFs!!!

My wife and I made a cash purchase of a 2012 SL in May 2013. We've enjoyed it so much we made another cash purchase of a 2013 SL this past weekend :D . The 2013 is a pretty big step up in amenities. I enjoy the '13 more than the '12. My biggest enjoyment comes from the additional 15 miles of range. I suspect this comes from several contributing factors: the greatly improved heating system, the newness of the batteries (25 miles vs. 25k miles) and the improved regenerative braking. The quicker charge rate is wonderful. I am impressed by the upgraded Bose sound system. And who doesn't like a leather seat? ;) ...

Reading many of the posts on this forum has been remarkable beneficial for me. Thanks to all!!!
