so I found out I have a quick charger located at whole foods, 1 mile from my house. One problem though, It says emergency quick charger and it's locked! How do I get a key?

Why don't you ask the workers at Whole Foods? What charging network does it belong to? Is it actually a quick charger (aka DC faster charger aka w/CHAdeMO connector) or is it actually one w/a J1772 connector?

Since we don't know the location of the unit in question, it's a guessing game for us.

That would be peculiar to spend huge sums of money putting in a quick charger, then restricting access to it for 'emergencies' only.

Telling us what city would be helpful.

Chicago area by any chance?

Northbrook, IL ?

We have this problem often in Portland area. People will push the emergency button just because .... Blink usually have to send a technician to see that it is safe to reset the button. That means 2-3 days.

The good news is that after about 6 months ICE drivers learn not to park there, people get tired of pushing the emergency button, and the bugs for that specific unit are worked out. So be patient.

Yeah, maybe the sign "emergency use only" doesn't mean only for emergency charging, rather they are telling people not to push the emergency shut off button unless there is an emergency.

Perhaps they should label the button more clearly...

They need to get rid of that emergency button and just put a regular off button that does the same thing without needing to be reset manually. Its a failure of proper design..
