Replacing the 12V battery

I have finally reached the EOL for the 12V battery on my 2015 SL (the 24KWH main battery version )
Aside from the usual precautions about shorting out the cables while pulling out and putting in a new battery, is there anything else to be aware of when the original battery is disconnected from the system?
