Does anyone have an email, advertisement, or print screen for a
2012 Nissan Leaf lease for
1) $266/ month for 36 months or
2) $199/month for 24 months?
I leased mine Dec 18, 2012.

I saw a offer posted at the dealer for Leaf SL 2 year lease with $2,699 down and $199 per month for 12,000 miles per year. Dec 18th

The web posting on http://www.nissanusa.com/electric-cars/leaf/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for Leaf 3 year lease, with I think $2,000 down, and $266 per month for 12,000 miles per year. Unfortunately, Decembers offer is no longer listed.

I asked the sales person if I could get something like that with more miles per year. He spoke to finance and brought me back the offer of $277 per month with $2000 down for 15,000 miles per year. I said sign me up. $291 would be my base payment with license and documents, ect.

Last week I noticed my bill said 12,000 miles :eek: ... I am trying to work with the dealer to get the mileage back to the deal I was offered. He said if I could bring in a copy of the web offer it would help.

The official Nissan lease special that I recall was being offered then, and is still being offered AFAIK, is $1999 down, $199/month for 36 months, 12,000 miles/year, excluding taxes, title, reg, etc. The only difference was for 2012 it was for the SV and for 2013 it's now the S. I don't recall any other advertised deals.

The deal you are referring to may have been dealer-specific, like the $99/month (but high down payment) lease specials at Boardwalk Nissan of Redwood City, CA.

This is exactly why people like the OP should submit stuff to archive.org (see http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=9553" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), before it changes/goes away.

Even if she did, good luck in trying to convince them to change the terms 10 months into her contract. It's what she signed for.

Plus the alleged 15k/year lease seems too good to be true: there is less than $400 difference in total cost of ownership between that and the 12k/year deal. That sounds like too little extra depreciation for a car with an additional 9,000 miles on the odometer.

What is more plausible is the difference between the alleged 15k/year deal and the deal I have seen: $2731. However that works out to over 30 cents/mile extra, double the usual over-mileage penalty.

I found this: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1233302/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Hopefully this will help. I didn't spend any time on this BTW.

This adjustment you want should not be a big deal. There is a specific reduction in the residual when going from 12K to 15K miles. The worst that should happen is you can pay the difference. FWIW $277/month versus $266/month seems about right.

Out of curiosity, will you really be able to use 15K miles a year? I have a 15K/year mileage lease but given the drop in range there is no possibility I'll ever use that many miles. At $.15/mile I would have been better off leasing for 12K miles a year.

When I got my lease, it was a whopping 3 bucks a month difference... It appears that I may even go over that if my current usage remains unchanged...

Thank you ...

I wish I did post the web deal. I went to the dealership and the sales person looked up the link and verified the deal. I asked if it was less expensive to buy miles up front or park it. He took my request to the back and said it would be the same terms but $277/month vs. 266 due to the residual based on the web deal.

I already have 12,500 miles from Dec 15th. I have access to 220 charging at work and home and the dealership has a fast charger, or as I like to call it a super charger.

I found the dealership ad in the local newspaper http://digital.olivesoftware.com/Repository/ml.asp?Ref=TVNCLzIwMTIvMTIvMjgjQWQwNTIwMA%3D%3D&Mode=G&Locale=english-skin-custom" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But I am still looking for the web special for $266/month, 2k down and 12k miles. This included factory rebates and CA pricing but that was in the fine print.

Thank you for your help. I will look up the above suggestions at lunch.

I didn't find the exact deal but I did use the web archive https://archive.org/web/web.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and found the deal mine was based on
