Arizona USA proposed bill, SB1536 would protect your right to get the parts, tools, and documentation you need to fix your own stuff,
or take it to a repair shop of your choice. It's yours. You own it. You shouldn't have to beg the manufacturer for
permission to fix it when it breaks.

When this bill passes we should:

Compel Nissan to hand over schematics for All:
Leaf PCB's
Wiring Harnesses

No need to wait...let the cat out of the bag.🐈..
Any member in the one of the 5 states want to give it a go?

This is the third Right to Repair bill Colorado has passed, coming after legislation on agricultural equipment in 2023 and powered wheelchairs in 2022. The latest Colorado legislation builds on successful new laws in Oregon, New York, Minnesota and California. It is just the second state bill that includes language restricting companies from using software locks to restrict repair, a process known as “parts pairing.”

does this space allow for a Go Fund Me Account to pay for legal fees to compel Nissan to turn over the schematics for a PCB's in all Leaf's?

Good idea, but unfortunately Nissan does not own or likely have access to the schematics of the various ECUs.

For example the OBC is made by Nichicon. They sell assembled and tested units to nissan, which are installed in the cars. If a unit goes bad, then the repair $olution (for Nissan to their customers), is to replace the entire box.

In some cases EV-related circuit boards have been traced out, and thru hard work the firmware has been de-coded by member coulomb, e.g. see the TCCH charger troubleshooting and repair thread in the diyelectriccar forum.

That's why any effort to force OEMs to provide any more than access to wiring diagrams and diagnostic software, usually thru a paid subscription, is a waste of time.
