‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Taking Mid-Season Hiatus After Next Week, Returning February 2022
https://trekmovie.com/2021/12/23/star-trek-discovery-taking-mid-season-hiatus-after-next-week-returning-in-february/

I'm a few eps behind myself and haven't had time to restart Amazom to start on The Expanse season 6 either...

I probably won't even notice the hiatus, as it takes me most of a year to get through this show. I've been rewatching Enterprise, and that compares quite favorably to STD.

The Enterprise ep of https://watch.historyvault.com/topics/the-center-seat-55-years-of-star-trek was pretty good. I didn't know quite a bit of the backstory and how the reigns were handed to Manny Coto. Someone at work had brought up his name numerous times prior to this documentary.

I didn't know that Les Moonves didn't like Scott Bakula and how there was a big sea change in the middle of Enterprise. IIRC, Moonves wanted to get rid of Bakula. Also, didn't know about the feud between Rick Berman and Moonves.

Ok. I'm caught up with Disco now.

Going thru the eps at https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/DIS_Season_4, S4, E4 wasn't that great. The two after were improvements.

I'm an at least an ep behind on Disco. Been too busy.

‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Renewed For Season 5; Premiere Dates Announced For ‘Picard’ And ‘Strange New Worlds’
https://trekmovie.com/2022/01/18/star-trek-discovery-renewed-for-season-5-premiere-dates-announced-for-picard-and-strange-new-worlds/
Paramount+ also announced a couple of other exciting yet expected renewals. They have picked up a second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the upcoming new series starring Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike. Earlier reporting indicated that the season could go into production in February in Toronto, Canada. And finally, Star Trek Lower Decks has been renewed for a fourth 10-episode season.

I'm caught up with Disco again. Have been really busy and tired.

S4:E10 (list at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Discovery_(season_4)#Episodes, which currently has no spoilers) I guess was an improvement. S4 lately has been.... ummm.. kinda weak. I had to get caught up as I'd gotten a year of CBS AA/P+ for cheap due to a Sportsline deal that I think was $25 for a year and that was coming to an end for me soon. It included CBS AA. At the time, it was unclear if it (getting CBS AA for the whole duration) would actually work or if it would be $25 down the drain. It fortunately did w/some hiccups along the way.

What's interesting from the opening credits these days is how many people have some sort of "producer" credit, including Sonequa Martin-Green. I wonder what all of them do and how much of it is is a form of compensation (e.g. for Sonequa).

I missed half of enterprise and too am catching up from the pilot

Discovery is watchable when tired, seems to lack respect for the audience with many contrivances, but now that I finally was able to get past the first three episodes I am almost caught up.

If you missed the Short Treks that went with Disco, there's https://www.space.com/star-trek-day-2024-paramount-tv-shows. Today is Star Trek Day.

Here's the complete lineup:
