A body shop did some work on the the driver-side door, and when I got the car back, the DS speaker is quieter. The body shop said they indeed had to remove the speaker, and asked me to bring it back in.

What do you think happened? Is there a tweeter in there that the forgot to reconnect?

Thanks.

On my 2014 S the tweeter is in the windshield pillar and not in the door. They likely pinched/shorted the wire, have it reveresed or may have pulled on the harness and unplugged the tweeter up by the windshield.

The polarity thing sounds good, but looking at this image, it doesn't seem that one could reverse the plug.

You really need to play Dick Tracy on this one. They may have pulled the plug out by the cable and ripped the pins out of the connector or made some other tactical error that they had to repair and gotten things crossed up.

No matter how idiot proof they make things fate always seems to provide a better idiot to mess it up. ;>

I think this was just my mistake. Some tunes I played had lower volume on the left. I checked more carefully, and it's all good.
