FM Radio poor reception

I started using radio more often and noticed that it has poor reception with a lot of static in certain areas. Has anyone experienced that as well?
 
Actually I find ours has better reception than either our ICE car or truck driving in the mountains of SoCal.
 
hmmm I have seen it mixed. I tend to listen to KCBS as lot and their FM channel isn't great.. but it could also be the terrain I drive in general. My ICE car had the same issue in the same areas..
 
Has about the same performance as any other FM stereo I've used. My previous car had an HD radio though, so I had no static at all when I was receiving the HD signal.
