I bought an Altima spare tire, and it seems to be a good fit. But it doesn't fit well in the trunk. The picture at http://bit.ly/yXApfF" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; looks like a much better solution. But where did the raised floor come from? Is that a Nissan accessory or something the owner jury-rigged?

Thanks,
Reza

It is the Nissan Cargo organizer which is available on Ebay from a couple of dealers for around $170. I looked at one when I bought the car but didn't like it since it took up a lot of usable cargo space and didn't offer a lot of utility for what I typically carry.

I would rather store the tire at home and if there is a need call relative/friend to bring the tire, but I went different route as suggested in this forum, bought the tire repair kit and air compressor.

That's what I did. The T-handle style tire repair kit, a pair of needle nose pliers with cutters, and the small air compressor. They all store nicely with room to spare in the left side cargo area where the factory compressor lives... Unless I have a catastrophic failure (less likely now that I have the Michelins), this will allow me to affect a repair and get home and/or to the tire shop...

this is great.... just wondering... can you do a typical repair while the tire is still on the car?
