Replacement battery in my 2011 was original chemistry from Japan and lost capacity at the same rate as the original (had been at 11 bars for some time when car was totaled 15 months after installation so it was close to losing another bar). I would probably be on the 3rd battery if I were still driving the 2011. The "lizard" battery in the 2015 is doing much better. I now have over 26,000 miles and almost 18 months in Phoenix with 12 capacity bars still showing and no loss of regeneration. Based upon measured charging energy from the wall (from shutdown to full charge) and data from Leaf Spy, it has probably lost about 10 to 12 percent of original capacity. I am hoping to get some free time to compile detailed statistics for both cars to post comparisons soon.
