I've written an iOS/iPhone app to access some of the battery status available over the OBDII port. I'd like to invite a few beta testers to try it out. Send me a PM if you're interested in giving it a try.
iOS doesn't allow open access to bluetooth so the bluetooth dongle doesn't work. However, WiFi OBDII dongles are available and work

A Google search for "2013 Super mini ELM327 WiFi OBD-II" finds several references to this device. Make sure its WiFi and not bluetooth.
Update: I've received enough responses for the moment. I'll let folks know as the app gets closer to release.
