I saw the commercial on NBC Monday night, during 'The Event'. It's pretty cool seeing them promote EV Charging in the same way an oil company would promote their fuel. An indication that we're really starting to make the switch.

Since my Smartmeter is also made by GE, to maximize the chances of them working together (and approved by PG&E), I'm going to wait for the Wattstation (Plus the Red one would look great with my new Red Leaf ), and just deal with Level 1 charging for now. I'll be driving about 55-60 miles a day, so hopefully I'll still be able to get a top off after 13 hours of charging. Let's just hope it out in the first part of 2011!!

Smart, but estimated to be $1000 to $1500, and apparently hard-wired to one location, it would seem to be NOT my ideal L2 EVSE.
