I called Nissan leaf HQ to ask if my used Nissan leaf battery had been replaced by previous owners, just to get an idea of the cars history.
He stated he had good news and better news. Good news being no it hadn't been replaced. Better news was it had an open coupon for a free battery replacement. He said a select few Leafs that were sold in hot climates got this coupon for a battery replacement.
I called my local dealer like he advised me, they knew nothing about it. They said because my battery is at 75% SOH they wouldn't even look up my case number that Nissan HQ gave me.

Customer Satisfaction Initiative
Battery Replacement Certificate
24kw batteries previously replaced(he said in my case it applies even though it wasn't replaced) eligable owners up until dec 2021.
Battery is new chem that withstands heat better.
I asked him what makes you eligible as my mileage is 67k, he said my VIN makes me eligible and that is all that they require. I wasn't sure if it was the same 5year/60k warranty or not. He assured me it was separate. It sounds too good to be true but i hope this forum can help me with this since the dealer has not.
He told me to tell the dealer to look up the case number, he also said its campaign PC496 and to open "SERVICE COM" and do a VIN lookup which will show the same information. He said Nissan HQ has final say and they said its eligible so obviously I want a free battery but i cannot get my local dealer to even acknowledge the information i got.
So i ask, has any one heard of this? Am i misunderstanding the typical warranty? Does any one have access to service com to look my vehicle up?

I hope some one can help me with this. Thanks in advance.
