We bought our 2016 leaf new and have just over 34k on it in 18 months. We're about 50/50 with fast charging and L2 because, as you can see by the mileage, we sometimes need to turn it around in less time than L2 affords us.

Other stats for reference (leafspy)

SOH=85%
QC=686
L1/L2=672
Hx=78.64
AHr=67.66

Based on what I've read I'm pretty close to losing a bar. Obviously, one of the things I could do is change my charging habits but that may be difficult based on my typical use of the vehicle.

Any other ideas?

Those 2016 30kwh packs are showing an alarming rate of degradation. It may be the early builds like yours in particular, or it may be all of them. To answer your question, yours seems to be on the worse end of typical, with "typical" in this case not being at all good. The good news is that you should eventually be eligible for a free replacement pack.

Anyone with any feedback? Is my battery right where I should expect it or should I expect my SOH to be higher?

Well you will be losing your first bar at around 80% SOH, so no not too good. A little better than me as I recently lost my first bar at 19k miles on my 2016 Leaf.

Anyone out there with a 2016 leaf that has lost enough bars to start to consider battery replacement? I heard that 3 bars is the starting point for that? I'm also wondering if they look back and say....hey you did too much L3 charging or something like that.

If the 1st bar doesn't go until 80% and I'm at 85% with 34k. I would imagine that I'll be way beyond 40k before I get to that point. Or is the decay in SOH not linear?

Above is a link to something I just posted in the 30 kwh battery thread.

Thanks for the reference - that does help. I'm not sure if it's buried in the thread but let's assume I continue with my charging profile (50/50 L2/L3) and use profile and my degradation is linear. That would mean that since I'm at 85% at 34k....this would be my path:

34,000 85% CURRENT
45,333 80% BAR 1
61,200 73% BAR 2
77,067 66% BAR 3
90,667 60% BAR 4

My 2016 SV has lost two capacity bars at 15,000 miles. The first one went at around 11 or 12k.

It's my third Leaf so I'm not doing any abusive charging, actually only charged this one with Level 3 maybe once or twice ever.

Anybody seen this rapid of a degrade? How did it work out?

I lost 2nd bar at 12000. I know of 4 so far that have lost 4 bars and got a replacement.

Someone in the Facebook LEAF group just posted a 2016 4-bar loser with

16,192 miles
46.27 Ahr
57.43 Hx
114 QC
601 L1/L2

I'm ... shocked to see a 2016 with such dramatic loss. Build date 12/15. Arizona, but still.

You need to be down at least 4 bars.

So far, I count 7 4 bar losers on the 30 kWh pack. See http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=515548#p515548.
