I had this issue as well on a 2012. My guess is that there is a faulty part and eventually there will be a class action suit to force nissan to provide some coverage. Hopefully nobody gets injured or does from this in the meantime

The most I've done is 200m rt. it takes careful planning and luck. Unfortunately QCs are few and far between and some not 100% reliable. If you are willing to fall back on level 2 charge it is doable Also consider winter hit to range I love the leaf but would not want to use it regularly...
