Dealer says Canada not getting 2016 30kWh option?

They actually posted the press release about a week ago but did so with some weird incentive numbers for BC (including Scrap-It incentive) factored into the purchase price. The updated release just shows the max EV rebates by province.

Dealer says Canada not getting 2016 30kWh option?

Here it is straight from the horse's mouth: http://nissannews.com/en-CA/nissan/canada/releases/new-2016-nissan-leaf-now-offers-best-in-class-172-km-range-in-affordable-fun-to-drive-package As usual, dealers aren't the brightest bulbs in the box and are probably looking at no change from 24kWh...

    2016 Nissan LEAF Information - 30 kWh SV/SL, 24 kWh S

It appears as though they're looking at a mid-September on-sale date according to a press release that they released and subsequently edited: http://insideevs.com/enhanced-2016-nissan-leaf-to-launch-nationwide-in-september/

    Official Coda Electric Car thread

That's a whole 200e more than what Fiat is selling! I also like how the Mullen logo on the trunk doesn't match the one on the nose of the car.

Degradation Issues with VIN 222. A MUST Read!!

ICE cars sort of do this where if the battery goes flat and the computer gets reset, you won't be able to get a smog check until the car has been driven about 100 miles or so in order to collect readings again. Experienced this recently with my dad's F-150 that had been sitting in the garage...

    Official Coda Electric Car thread

They might be referring to the original-original car, which had a 36kWh battery. The U.S. version had the outside block of cells removed after the Volt fire debacle instead of actually designing a proper safety mechanism, which brought U.S. spec Codas down to 31kWh. Either way, I wouldn't bet...

    Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell

Okay, Toyota has used $17,500 lease cash for some time (over $18k in NorCal) and it's impossible to purchase a RAV4 EV for MSRP. Remove the $7,500 federal rebate and you get a $10,000 discount, bringing the real price to $40k vs $57k for a Mirai. Toyota is selling the RAV4 EV for $40k...

    Toyota Mirai Fuel Cell

RAV4 EVs have been going for about $35k after rebates and incentives for the last year or so. I drove my RAV4 EV to Utah, which would be impossible to do in a Mirai. I fail to see how a $57k Corolla-Prius mashup that depends on 13 fueling stations in the entire country is a good value for...

    Official Kia Soul EV thread

Exactly. The way I see it is: both parties who are either A (not conforming to the CHAdeMO spec) or B (not building adequate protections into the hardware) are wrong. These CHAdeMO systems aren't cheap, and many exceed the cost of the vehicle plugged into it. It's only reasonable to assume...

    Official Kia Soul EV thread

Fair enough, and I'd certainly say the i3 is on the cusp of moving up to Committed territory. Maybe Committed is still a good place to be though. The big question is, how many i3s are really PHEVs? BMW won't say, but I did find an article indicating that at least 60% of i3 sales in the UK are...

    Official Kia Soul EV thread

RAV4 and B-Class ED were subcontracted to Tesla. Toyota and MB wanted to make the problem go away, and didn't really care about the details. For another laugh, the B-Class doesn't have charge timers and you have to pay extra to unlock the "Extended Charge" mode. In the RAV, a lot of the car...

    Official Kia Soul EV thread

Indeed. The 2011-2012 LEAF EVSE was not completely J1772 compliant and wouldn't work with Tesla-based cars (RAV4 EV, Model S, B-Class ED). In the early days, they didn't work with the Chevy Volt either (I tried) until the Volt received a software update that allowed it to use the Nissan EVSE...

Yep, the lease for our FFE with leather is $300/mo with tax. $2k down, 36mo, 12k. And that was in December with higher MSRP.

Oh, great. Way to represent, dude!

According to the article, he was charged with sexual battery. Maybe he was trying to make up for lost bars? (tasteless, I know)

    Automatic Dryer Plug Switcher?

Could be an entirely unrelated label. Maybe he just wants people to know that things that are at a higher elevation are more dry. Useful advice for your every day life! :D
