240 miles range offers almost no benefit to me c/w 150 miles. I'll likely buy a 2018 LEAF because the size and tech features mean more to me than the extra range of the Bolt. No point in waiting for a longer range that I'll not need.
Today:
>>"......... Good News! Nissan shipped us 5 extra Leafs that we were not anticipating on receiving - so they are all available for test drive and for purchase. Are you available to stop in sometime this weekend to check them out in person?>>

One place on the Nissan website that had me confused is when i tried adding the paint color: "Two-Tone Pearl White/Super Black" to an SL
it says:
The following are required and will be added to your build:
Technology Package
But I thought the Technology Package was already included, no...
Do we have to first select a dealer in order to put down the deposit?
In 2009 we placed our deposit with Nissan., and only in 2010 did we have to select the dealer. That helped us negotiate a better deal.
Any advice on getting the best deal buying a 2018 SL?
Thanks
Shaun
Nissan brought a loaded 2018 LEAF to me yesterday for our 1 hour test drive.
I was particularly impressed with the ProPILOT system, the optional e-Pedal option and the new safety features.
The comfort and ride quality was even better than our 2011, which we still have.

So my new battery (Feb 2016) seems to be doing remarkably well.
Here are screenshots from February (new) and June, 4 months on.
No drop from 66.14AHr in 4 months and 3400 miles.
Really?
Late February this year I had a new battery installed under warranty.
My AHr jumped to 66.14
A month later it was the same
April: same
May: same
June,... same.
Did Nissan really fix it that well?
Here's my plot of the battery over the past couple of years
February 23rd 2016
AHr=66.14...
Had my warranty replacement done at Mossy in Oceanside.
Very good service. I dropped it off in the morning and got an auto text alert (NissanConnect) that evening that the battery was full.
Here are the screen grabs the following morning if anyone is interested

AHr History:
Shaun
Wife just got home from work with the display down to 8 bars.
This was a bit of a surprise as, for the past 2 months, the normally steady decline in AHr completely stopped at 43.51.
Had it continued as it had been the previous couple of years I was expecting to hit about 43.1 right now...
The progression continues, accelerated recently due to the hot weather.
Currently heading for 42.75Ahr in mid-December.
i have until Mid June to lose that #8 bar
36,000 miles
9/15/2014 ---50.04
9/20/2014 ---49.99
9/30/2014 ---49.88
10/3/2014 ---49.81
10/5/2014 ---49.69
10/8/2014 ---49.67...
There is something fishy about the figures:
eg (rounding to one decimal point)
as of 10/10/13 = 63.0 Ahr
Two weeks later = 65.0 Ahr
ie it actually GAINED 2 Ahrs
I've been monitoring mine frequently for the past year, and the biggest capacity apparently ever regained =~0.1Ahr
Another place...
I continued to do everything I knew (80%, not leaving fully charged, no quick charges etc) between my loss of the 12th and 11th bars, so I don't think our habits made the difference.
Indeed only AFTER losing the 11th bar did i start to not focus on those things so much.
Only since then have I...
