    Lease terms for 2014?

I see the post for 2013 models but nothing for 2014 unless I missed it. Have a decent offer for a 2013 (demo likely, has ~80 miles), but wondering if the 2014 has a higher residual that might offset the higher price. Leaning towards 24 month with 15,000 miles.

    2013 SV + charge, 2500 down, 270/mo

Something to keep in mind is that I'm pretty sure it is law in most if not all states that there is a 2-3 day recission period where you can go back in there and say no thanks and walk away... Get the best of both worlds where you can lock in something, but not have to go through with it if you...

Is there a breakdown of sales for MY2013 by trim?

Seeing as how there were essentially no changes for MY2014, I'm considering buying a slightly used MY2013. I know that the vast majority of these are still on leases that won't end for another year or 2, but I have come across a few very low mileage examples. The problem is that I only...

    Lease Discussion

We also went from "Saved by the Bell" kind of cell phones, to flip phones, to smart phones. Touch screens etc. are expanding quickly. Three years ago, did you know what a tablet was? If you don't think that a personal laptop from 3 years ago is more expensive, heavier and slower than one can...

    Lease Discussion

I agree on both of these points. I usually fix my own cars, and see much more value buying an ICE car around 80k miles and driving it to 250k. My '98 Accord @ 293k still runs fine and gets same or better mileage than my wife's '07 Mazda 6 with the same size 3.0L V6 (bought new). Have never...

Full 2013 Nissan LEAF Specs out

Agreed on this. I chatted with Kathleen today, who confirmed the website is correct in that NONE of the models come with any camera/monitor standard, and that the choice is to add the optional rear view camera for the S, or the premium upgrade for the SV/SL to add the all around monitor.

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

I hadn't gotten any news on lease deals from the two local dealers here either. On the loyalty program, that would be great PR and honestly a good idea on several aspects, but they're going to have a hard time re-selling those cars for a decent price with a fair amount of new 2012's still...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

I agree that is a helpful analysis, in lieu of something more concrete. However, I'd prefer hard data for a MY13 similar to what Den reported on an MY12 to see since without knowing the precision of that graph there is still some opportunity for "telling the story" they want...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

Hmm, if that is the case on the S with the smaller screen (is that going to be synomous with limited programming?), that would certainly be a helpful stop-gap since I would know both times +/- 10 mins or so. Is it correct that the range penalty for running the heater for 5 minutes as a...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

That isn't driving the "when", it is driving the "which" decision, as in trim level/options. The true "when" is a choice about whether I "want" it now, or waiting for necessity, i.e. an expensive breakdown or maintenance. Current vehicle is a 1998 Accord bought new and currently at 292k miles...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

My "thrifty" side is a little bigger than my laziness, so I'd probably be fine without it, so it may come down to what my wife wants if she drives on the w/e since she would certainly not want to go into that freezing garage twice  To put it in perspective, I park my car outside at...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

Thanks! The CC on the highway is to be lazy, on the state routes it's to avoid a ticket (BT,DT) :) There are a few situations where the B mode would assist some then, i.e. where I'm getting to the interstate and the traffic lights, but otherwise be unaffected by normal highway driving. I'm...

2013 MY Leaf - hybrid heater & EPA mileage rating questions

Thanks for your input. You make a good point - if the difference in MSRP is $1,720, I would only pay roughly 50% of that via my payments during the lease term, with the remainder sitting in the residual... I agree with you, seems like cruise control is an odd thing to leave off a car to be...
