Confused by the Leaf charging timer: never seems to do what I want.

To answer your second question. If you plug in anytime during a timer charge period, say 9 pm, the car should start charging immediately.

Confused by the Leaf charging timer: never seems to do what I want.

What you are missing is a timer that covers the period before 5 pm on Saturday. I would use another timer that starts on Friday and ends at 5 pm, which would be Saturday. How are the other days of the week covered? This might determine exactly how to set the Friday timer. To avoid confusion...

Extended warranty again LOL... need help

I bought an extended warranty on my 2007 Camry Hybrid and did not get the value I expected. Thinking like you that with the newer technology it would save money, I paid $1559 for 8 years or 120K miles. I researched a few companies and selected a well known third party warranty company. I only...

Charging timer woes - how to set properly?

One problem I see is that there is an overlap on Friday with Timer Two on Saturday. The easiest fix I can think of is to turn off the timer on Friday, and to remove confusion use your last Timer Two option. Another way would be to leave Timer One as is and change Timer Two to start at 7am and...

    Installing the cargo net

The Nissan cargo net is a joke. Maybe the reason you are having trouble finding the anchors is that they are so close together. The net is only a little larger than a license plate. The anchors look like large screws in depressions just inside the lower truck. I think they were installed at...

Did Nissan forget to 'plug' this connector?

After looking at my Leaf, it appears that the two cables go to the DCQC connector. You decide how to proceed.

    Charging timers: RAGE MODE, ACTIVATE

Your current timers do not cover the hours between 11:50 PM Sunday and 9:10 PM Monday. There is also an overlap on Saturday morning. I think if you back up the weekend timer to 10:00 AM start and end at 9:50 AM, you will cover the weekend and also the time between Sunday night and Monday morning.

    Hybrid-Heater. What is it?

I would like to comment on your freezing. You may already know that using Drive mode, not ECO, will be more comfortable in winter.

    Wanting input before purchase

I thought I saw on this site that charging at 110v returns about 5 miles per hour. 9.5 hours at 5 miles per hour would recover the 45 miles used on the trip to school. If you were charged to 100% at the start of the day you would have a full charge for the trip home. In moderate climates...

Reduced Range AND Reduced Charging Time

Some people have had success with disconnecting the negative lead to the 12 volt battery for a few minutes. Settings will need to be re-entered.
