    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Didn't notice anything restrictive, but I did the last few km around my neighbourhood (so not very fast), but yeah, I'm sure I was going on "fumes".

    100 Mile Club, 200 km, 300 km, 200 Mile Club (24kWh LEAF)

Yay, I'm #60, and according to Tony possibly the first up here in Canada, at least the first reported one. I must have been close to "empty" as I did the last 10km with the three flashing --- (LBW). Trip was from Owen Sound to Guelph, so actually an increase in elevation of about 100m - I know...

DRL (Daytime Running Lights) wiring source

Yeah, you'd think that for every market where DRLs were mandated, Nissan would spec the same equipment, but my fog lights have only one bulb, as per all North American models. I checked the power meter between DRL and having headlights on, and there is a noticable jump when switching to...

DRL (Daytime Running Lights) wiring source

Here in Canada, it appears that the DRLs are just the high beam bulbs running at a lower wattage. I was hoping they were separate bulbs that I could replace with LEDs, because even if the 65W high beams are only at 30 or 40, that's still a lot worse than LEDs. So I tried cfl's suggestion That...

Low Mileage User - Can I save $$ and skip the 240v Charger?

I've been charging with a dedicated outlet on 120 and it's never taken more than 12 hours to get to 80%. It's usually starting from 2 or 3 bars, and this is even in the Canadian winter climate. 9 or 10 hours is typical. Steve

    Our very own forum

Hi Brent Yeah, after 1250km I'm seeing about the same rate - cost a little under $15 so around 1.2cents/km Out of curiosity, did they charge you extra because the wire wasn't the same gauge as the US charger? Did you get the upgraded one and then send yours back? I've heard they were adding a...

    Canada- Reservations

Finally got my blue Leaf today. It was just sitting in the compound for the last couple of weeks - I gather that the dealerships don't have much control on when the trucking firms make their deliveries, so it was a "it'll get there when it gets there" sort of thing. Now it's time to go through...

    Canada- Reservations

I'm getting more convinced that someone else has the car I'm supposed to get. The status went from "at rail" to "unavailable" back on October 15, which I gather indicates that it's not on a train any more, but in some compound lot, and just needs to get to the dealer by truck. The dealership's...

    Canada- Reservations

In the portal I see August 18 for the activation date. And if you log into the CARWINGS site, and look under Manage Account, then Edit/Add vehicle, the same date appears there. In my case, there's already a guy driving my car - Preston Wong is the current driver. Maybe this isn't my car at all.

    Canada- Reservations

Saw that too. Did you notice when Carwings got activated? Mine says back in August. Shouldn't this get activated after you get the car, and not 3 months before you even start using it? There's only a subscription for 3 years, right? I don't want to give up 3 months of that time before the...

    Canada- Reservations

bradner, The main reason I chose to waive the AV assessment was all the comments I was seeing here about the ridiculous amount AV was charging for installation of their EVSE. When I spoke to an AV person here in Ontario on Saturday, they quoted me $2300 for the unit and installation! To me...

    Canada- Reservations

I was also able to RAQ on Friday, and am now waiting for the dealership to give me a number. The email said "Delivery will take 3 - 4 months from when an order is placed". I really hope they mean 3-4 weeks. Also took the test drive yesterday - great to finally experience it. I thought the...

Revision 2 upgrade for Nissan EVSE - Allows full level 2!

Can anyone say (maybe Phil (Ingineer)) whether this upgrade process will be available in Canada. And if so, whether the cost will be any different (considering our dollars are nearly equal at the moment)? I can see shipping may be a little more.

    Canada- Reservations

That's reassuring, and believable. I'm going to be test driving on Saturday, when the tour goes through Oakville, so hopefully after that, I'll be able to order. What kind of time span have people been experiencing between ordering and actually picking the car up? I'm guessing a couple of...
