I have a turn in for November--and have the same pay option from them: $5,000 off or miss 2 payments and go month-to-month. Here is my question: what would happen if SOMETHING went wrong after warranty expires--can you just say turning it in the following month? And not really have to worry...

I called the dealer and they said some computer issues...and I will be taken it in on Friday. I sure hope they don't mess anything up. The car has been working great.

First and foremost: have now had the Leaf for over 3 months--and still widely, passionately, and vociferously in love with this damn car. Love the ride, the quiet cabin, and the utter joy of never having to go to a gas station again. (Or...at least till my lease expires in a few years)...

Do all the dealerships know about this? It's the first I hear about this. We can rent a car for up to 10 days? For free. Without anything wrong with the Leaf. This is great! Where is this stated in the paperwork?

We installed a dedicated L1 EV Parking space/charging area at our hotel: Best Western Date Tree Hotel in Indio, CA. Put this up on Plugshare. Have already had two people use the spot: A Leaf owner and a Volt owner. It is free! If you are spending the night...the trickle charge should work...

Tom, How do you average 4.8? Is there some special way to achieve this. I am driving on streets, no more then 45(mostly 35-40)and no quick acceleration. And in Eco...and I still only see like 4.2. Not sure what tricks are out there. I am really into the whole thing. Thanks.

Now on 12 days with the Leaf...and still the same succinct feeling: Love this car! But so wish there was more advertising/publicity on the Leaf. Just finished watching Revenge of the Electric Car...and loved seeing Carlos and the Leaf featured. And I so agree: they need to get the word out...

Well...we want to do our part. Wish we could offer the L2--just too expensive now. But with the L1, and if spending the night, it will work out perfectly. If coming out again, come and stay at our hotel. I will work out a special rate for Forum members.
