    Leaf Battery Compartment Bulkhead?

One thing i'd noted in viewing photos of the Chevy Spark EV is that the battery pack is right under the rear seats. That would be a concern. Hopefully this mention isn't too off-topic.

    Leaf Battery Compartment Bulkhead?

Is there basically an airtight bulkhead between the Leaf battery pack and the passenger compartment? That is, were the batteries to vent for whatever reason, the emissions would *not* enter the passenger compartment, and instead vent to the wider environment outside the vehicle? Links to any...

    Portland Oregon Group

Back around April i did manage to pull into BN to see what Leaf inventory was on the lot and ended up going for a test drive in a model S. The sales guy was personable enough and i didn't feel any pressure to do a deal. I had several months to go on my Prius lease at the time, said as much, and...

Well thats interesting. One thing that had scared me off from BN were all the negative reviews i had seen on dealerrater.com perhaps a couple years ago. But now there are a lot of recent positive reviews including a couple mentioning a Leaf transaction.

Beaverton Nissan is closest, but Oregon Electric Vehicle Association has had some events at Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan. Just wondering what experiences folks have had at either dealership and Nissan of Portland too. I 'm planning on leasing at least a model S w/ QC. PDX Leaf Guy

From Prius Lease to Leaf Lease, Best Practices?

How can a one car person make a convenient transition while getting a good deal on the Leaf lease? Has anyone written about this in the forum? Some searches didn't reveal anything. My 2010 Prius lease (36 mo. term) will conclude Jan. 2014. Is there an issue of timing here? Negotiate a Leaf...

Is this a good deal ?

If one doesn't bump up against the 12k/15k lease mileage limits, TLC/LT is a measure I'd offer to assess whether a deal is a good one (TLC=Total Lease Cost. LT = Lease Term e.g. 24/36 months). Basically what is your monthly "rent" for the Leaf going to be?

I've enjoyed seeing the Leafs more frequently and well as the Thinks.

    Nissan EV-2

Well FWIW i don't like the looks of the ESFLOW and am not into EV sports cars. I'll be a bit more specific about my Nissan EV-2 proposal: a Nissan EV-2 that has an exterior design very similar to the GM EV-1, complete with improved specs inclusive of Li+ pack, BMS, range, communications, etc. :)

    Nissan EV-2

An EV that basically advances the GM EV-1 design to present day. Thoughts?

Wow that's great! And a pretty cool name too. I hope Nanook works well for you. I'm motivated to ask anyone from O.E.V.A. if they ultimately chose to go with a dealer other than Tonkin Wilsonville Nissan. Basically O.E.V.A. held their May 2010 at TNW and it went pretty well but still i wasn't...

    Cross-Country Capable Leafs

I'm still not clear on the NEC and whether cord and plug connected EVSEs are actually permitted. Is a lack of clarity preventing manufacturers from bringing what we need to market? Thanks to my local public library, I can pickup a copy of the 2011 NEC in the near term. Perhaps I am missing...

    Cross-Country Capable Leafs

How can we bring universal opportunity charging capability to our Leafs just as soon as possible? Without resorting to DIY EVSE. How can we charge our Leafs from the commonly available 220v/240v outlets, like at any RV Park, in the near term? How can we persuade Nissan to install higher power...

Hey thanks. I'd been mulling an old EV donation to either PSU or PCC. Do you have a PCC contact handy? PDXLeafGuy

Hi Oliver, Did PCC indicate what uses they would like to put your 74' Citicar donation to?

AV EVSE ... not silent anymore

Gudy, Any noise from the Leaf itself when charging from either L1/L2?

    LEAF L1 Trickle Charging current

Randy, Thanks for this info! FWIW, its normal to see a voltage drop with the meter at these current levels and i don't see anything of concern here.

This is why I'll be leasing

Imagine if the EV-1 was still in production after all these years and during that time had proven itself to be a great EV including its reliability record. Thats an EV i could see buying and holding onto for a long time. The Leaf is cool but i don't really love the exterior look from every...

ECOtality Level 2 charger : Blink

Back in September i declined the Ecotality charger assessment since i hadn't decided for sure about placing a Leaf order, thus didn't want to waste the resources of the publicly funded EV Project and figured whoever came out to do the assessment might not know whether a hardwire Ethernet...
