Past bar loss predictor of future bar loss?

Interesting, so if I'm understanding correctly the loss rate for the next 6% should be less than it was for the first 15%.

Past bar loss predictor of future bar loss?

I was aware that the first bar was 15% and the rest were something less or different. I was just wondering if for instance I had gotten 1000mi per percent for the first 15% does that mean, assuming similar conditions, I'll continue to get 1K per 1% or does that drop as well? I think I'm pretty...

Past bar loss predictor of future bar loss?

So I just lost my first bar and was wondering if Past bar loss mileage/time is any predictor of future bar loss? Thank You

Scary reduced brake power / pedal feel

I got my 2015 in Dec and have had probably 4-5 instances where I was braking and then the pedal seems to go soft and then I have to press much harder down on the pedal in order to get the car to stop. The first couple times it was so minor that I dismissed it as simply a "Different feel" of the...

    3.6 miles/kWh anyone get less?

First two months of having my Leaf I averaged 2.8 Mi/kWh. Of course I got it 12/31 and we've not seen too many days above freezing since and have had weeks on end lows starting with a negative number. There is a HUGE difference from ~28F to 35F. I've been resetting every day for the last week...

    Energy Ecomony Gauge.

I have an S so no Carwings or fancy stuff :-)

    Energy Ecomony Gauge.

First a stupid question, for the life of me I can't figure out how to reset this gauge. Everything I see is about Carwings, can it be done without Carwings? Second, how accurate is it? I've read a couple things that says it's fairly optimistic. Is there a "General rule" as to how off it is?

    Leaf Shifter operation/safety.

f you mess up and do it below 7 mph :?: Kind of like the hardest panic braking possible. Extremely dangerous if anyone is anywhere close behind you. Don't do this :!: Did you notice if you got a whole bunch of regen or not :-)?

    Leaf Shifter operation/safety.

New owner and was just wondering exactly how the shifter reacts under different situations. First one I suppose I could try but haven't, does the shifter shift gears from part to reverse and drive without your foot on the brake? There's no mechanical lock, as far as I can tell, to prevent this...

But yes, Eco mode does make it easier to more finely control the car's speed and acceleration. That's why I use it almost exclusively. Not for energy savings but for better driving control. Yes that is what I was getting at. It's "Feels" more "Peppy" in D mode because the response when you...

That's a bit different than your original story which led me to believe you ran out of juice 40 miles into a 60 mile trip. Sounds now like you got towed home with a half-full battery ;) . Could be but while on the highway the guess-O-Meter was dropping at about a mile every .25 to .3 miles. Not...

Eco mode should've made no little or no difference in terms of propulsion power consumption. Well not having it on makes it easier to consume more power for propulsion easier. There is a significant difference in acceleration with Eco on or off. I had Eco off during the first 8-10 miles which...

I'm wondering why your new car with a 100% charged battery only made 40 miles before it parked you. To be honest I do not know entirely what the real range would have been. At the time I had NO IDEA what I was doing. When I left the dealer the "guess-o-Meter", said 88 miles. The total trip was...

Again thanks for all the great info in the thread. Friday I did my daily commute, it was ~30F and clear. I ran on Eco, no heat, no anything and drove very conservatively. While driving the route it really struck me for the first time how much of the trip is in largely residential areas where...

    Pre-Heating, 2015, S model, No timer.

I always hit the charge override button on the left side of the steering wheel, then when it starts charging from the EVSE I will try that and see if it works. Do you do this while it is already charging? I.E. it's plugged in and charging, dash lights blinking, or when it's done charging at...

    Pre-Heating, 2015, S model, No timer.

I have read a dozen threads on here about pre-heating. Most of them are talking about car-wings or climate control timer, which I have gotten to work and will use in the AM or any time I know that I will be leaving at a certain time. However there seems to be a TON of different approaches to...

We have the base model 3.3 Kw port on the S model no quick charge. Did not really think that would be an issue since it can charge 240 V. Since we have no intention of using this car for anything longer then around town we had no need for quick charge and the added expense. Truth be what it may...

Thanks all for the tips and info. I will be doing a "Practice run" of my daily commute today without the kids...just in case. Depending on how today goes I may do another tomorrow as a "Worst case", heater running, non eco, driving a bit more aggressively and see what the outcome is. Again I...

How fast were you going? Do you know if there was a net elevation gain between the dealer and home? I was on the interstate doing ~65. Elevation gain from mile zero to 22.5 was ~200 ft and then downhill from there. I will try some of the driving techniques in the other threads as well as...

00% is now the standard charge mode and it doesn't seem like the 80% charging was particularly important for battery life. So if I set a timer that has it charged to 100% every day by the time I normally leave the house or shorter before I should not effect normal battery life? Right now I'm...
