    2013 Clarion QY7210 upgrade to 2016 QY8200 (Non-Bose Navigation stereo)

Hoping for a better user experience (including spoken text messages) and the possibility of newer firmware supporting Android Auto (what I later learned is a very expensive proposition from https://xanavi.net/), I bought the non-Bose navigation stereo system (Clarion QY-8200) out of a wrecked...

Strange alert noises from dash (2013 SV)

Disregard. If you have a Viofo A119 v3 dash camera suddenly won't keep its settings saved, you may have to replace the RTC (tiny soldered rechargeable lithium battery). Otherwise, you might think your Leaf is starting to make weird noises! Mods can delete this post if necessary.

    Ultra Racing Rear Sway Bar

Going from a MINI Cooper S to a Nissan Leaf, there were (not surprisingly) some aspects of the driving experience that I felt I had lost in the transition. I love the torque of the Leaf when I actually need/use it, but it's been a while since I've dealt with so much understeer and body roll. I...

FOR SALE: Turn signal combination switch for auto headlights and fog lights

Want to retrofit automatic headlights or add fog lights to a car that didn't already have them? This 2014 Nissan Murano SV combination switch is just want you need! I had it installed in my 2013 Leaf SV for months. Though it's slightly different visually, it's functionally identical to my...

    SOLD: Auto-dimming rearview mirror

Have a Nissan Leaf S with manual rearview mirror? Upgrade to auto-dimming with this mirror removed from a 2013 Nissan SV. Equivalent to Gentex GNTX-461. Requires 12v when vehicle ignition is turned on plus a ground wire. Wiring pigtail with connector for mirror is included, as well as a plastic...

SOLD: 2011-2017 Nissan Leaf cellphone holder

This has been sold. Bought a new, larger cellphone that will not fit into my 3D-printed phone holder, so I have to make a new one. I printed the base from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2474906 and made a custom holster to fit my former Samsung Galaxy S10e with Blackweb wallet case. The two...

    Retrofitting one-touch turn signals

Aside from the terrible randomizer for USB audio files, the biggest annoyance going from a 2009 MINI Cooper to 2013 Leaf SV is the lack of one-touch/ comfort turn signals that flash multiple times with a slight bump of the stalk. In a past vehicle life, I had retrofitted intermittent wipers to a...

A case of mistaken (12v battery) identity

I noticed recently that the Advance Auto Parts and AutoZone websites indicate that my 2013 Leaf should have a Group 51 battery, and Group 51R batteries are labeled as not fitting. Thanks to this message board, I now know that to be incorrect. Interestingly, though, the Champion batteries at Pep...

    AmazingE FAST 32A EVSE

Does anyone have experience with or have you heard about the new AmazingE 32A 220v EVSE by Clipper Creek? It's made in Mexico instead of USA, but still has a UL rating, 3-year warranty, and is ENERGY STAR certified. Available in both hardwired or NEMA 14-50 models. I'm told they are on backorder...

    Another HomeLink mirror option

My 2013 Leaf SV had a regular auto-dimming mirror (GNTX-461), so I decided to upgrade to a newer generation of Gentex mirror with auto-dimming, HomeLink 4.0, and compass all built in. I found a 4112A-PZLHL4 mirror in a 2014 Nissan Maxima at the u-pull junkyard. It appears to be comparable to a...

    New in Northern VA

Hi all, I just purchased my first Leaf (see signature). It's my third EV, though I'm still very new to all of this. I have a Vectrix VX-1 scooter into which I retrofitted Leaf modules, and I played around with a Miles ZX40S for a year before deciding a higher top speed and fewer cars would make...
