    Nissan To Install 500 More Quick Charge Stations

    In Charlotte, NC, we have few L2's and ZERO QC's - so any QC would be welcome. BUT: (a) do NOT put them at a dealer. Its closed and blocked at night, or an ICE is parked there due to the dealer not having enough parking available. (b) DO place them along the interstate, for example at rest stops.

    How does spirited driving affect range in the Leaf?

    The only time I drive agressively in the Leaf is when a Camaro or Mustang driver looks over with a 'you're going to challenge me in THAT?' look. :D To answer the OP though, yeah, that type driving negatively affects range.

    The problem is the charging infrastucture. Charlotte, NC = major US city = major airline international hub (US Airways), and EXTREMELY few public chargers. Zero L3, few L2.

    I like the hockeypuck. And I like the centre console; holds a lot of miscellaneous "stuff" (car charger for the smartphone, a soft cloth to clean my sunglasses now and then, and the little card issued by ChargePoint for public charging stations, etc).

    I agree. Even here in Charlotte, which is WAY behind other cities in installing public EVSE's, there's more EVSE's than CNG stations. There's a grand total of one, maybe two, CNG stations here, and none are close to me.

    Beleaf, Two comments: (a) As far as the charger is concerned, there was a push here in the States to use AeroEnvironment chargers. But when I got a quote from them and compared that to other installations, the price offered by AE was about double. I'd shop around. (b) With 418v available...

    Herm, In defense of the GOM, there really isn't a way to predict how you'll drive. I may be driving conservatively one day, then the next want to "show off" the car to someone during lunch hour.
