    End of Lease Strategies?

Got a final buyout quote of $7,662 plus tax and dmv on my loaded 2013 SL with 18K miles, leather, QC, Bose sound, etc. This is $7,400 off of my residual. This was quite an improvement from the $0-5,000 off that area dealers offered to me last month. It just lost its first bar but still...

    End of Lease Strategies?

No, NMAC did not provide a buyout price in writing. Further, they would not discuss it on the phone and instead referred me to my dealer for the specific incentives available to me. It was frustrating as NMAC initiated contact with me - not only through mail, but email and voice messages.

    End of Lease Strategies?

It's been a long time since I was on the board but I wanted to share my lease buyout experience. I upgraded my 2011 to a '13 SL when my first lease expired. I had planned to buy the '13 and was hoping to get a price at least $6k below my buyout of $15.4k. My lease ends in March. This week...

    2013/2014 Nissan Leaf Lease Information

Initially I was going to buy my 2011 SL at the end of lease. Recently, I got an end of lease offer from NMAC waiving the last 3 months of payment ($1200), disposition fee and zero drive off. A loaded '13 SL (leather, premium package) is quoted at base payment of $393/mo. for 36 mo. Plus I'll...

Will 2014 be another Leaf refresh or a whole new model?

With my lease expiring next year, I hope that the 2014 MY has a significant refresh. When I got my LEAF in March 2011 I had intended to buy the car at end of term for $15K. The new pricing and incremental improvements in interior styling, HVAC, level 2 charging rate and range in the 2013 MY are...

National Plug In Day - Sunday, October 16th

We had a great time at the Santa Monica event. The LEAF was by far and away the most well represented of the two "mainstream" plug-ins on the market; likely 85% of the vehicles participating. As has been mentioned, the "Batt.mobile" was definitely the star of the world's quietest parade. It...

MY ZEV license plate at LAX, Why did you unplug my Leaf?

I picked my wife up from LAX on Wednesday and she noted the MY ZEV license plate on the LEAF next to mine as we were loading her luggage. At the time I hadn't read this thread. It's likely that the owner is still out of town. Or maybe just in hiding,

(Un)Official Mitsubishi (Cypress, CA) L3 Scheduling Thread

I just went by the Mitsubishi HQ this morning after dropping our daughter off to school. I had 18 miles in the "tank" and about a 12 mile trek so I thought it was a good time to try out the CHAdeMO that I've read so much about. I must say that Level 3 is the only way to fly! The folks at...

City Ventures to offer "LEAF ready" homes

My wife and I went to view City Ventures' "Signal Hill Collection" just yesterday at their "Green Key" event. The sales staff and project manager were thrilled that we had a LEAF; apparently we were the first to come by the job site. This is a high density town home community at the very foot...

City of Seal Beach to Unveil EV Charge Stations 7/11

Per a post at insidesocal.com, the City of Seal Beach will "will officially unveil its two new electric vehicle charging stations Monday, July 11, at 5 p.m. at the 8th Street Beach Parking Lot." I think I might go out to show interest and support for the project as we go to Seal Beach fairly...

California call to action for EV adoption. Please promote.

ftp://leginfo.public.ca.gov/pub/dailyfile/sen/senate_floor According to the daily file for the Senate the bill passed 25/14 pending concurrence and/or amendments by the Assembly. It is currently listed as unfinished business.

California call to action for EV adoption. Please promote.

I sent in my support over the weekend. Our landlord is eco-minded and was very supportive of us buying the LEAF but as we look to get more space for our family the issue has become central to our house/condo hunt. Please lend your support to ensure that more people can adopt EVs.

    Scratches on Center Console

+2. I was thinking the same thing. There is a great company Gelaskins that we use for our pods, phones, laptops, etc. I wonder if they would be interested in doing a custom cut for the LEAF. Will shoot them an email to inquire Check them out at[url]http://www.gelaskins.com//url].

West Coast LEAF Relay/Caravan Late Summer '11

I would love to participate. LAX to Costa Mesa/Tustin/Newport Beach should be doable at freeway speeds. Both South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island have free ChargePoint Level 2 public charging stations available.

    Los Angeles Metro Area Leafers

Anyone else in Long Beach? My daughter saw another blue LEAF on PCH recently. If there are more than a handful of us then it might be beneficial to start a club/advocacy group and lobby for some public charge stations or parking privileges here in town. 8-)

    New Firmware Pushed : L2R.1.6A

I'm digging the new firmware update with screensaver, brightness control and corrected time display. Just a few more issues and Blink will have a solid , if overly complex, EVSE on their hands.

Anyone get their CA HOV stickers?

I just got my plates this past Friday and both application and a single check for $25 in the mail on Saturday morning. The applications go to the same processing center so I think it should be fine. With a 3/30 delivery I was really expecting my plates to arrive more quickly. With any luck...

    Scratches on Center Console

I think I'll try Plexus this week. If anyone has other ideas, please let me know. I have to say that the interior is my absolute least favorite part of the car. Its like the team that designed the space were so focused on creating a bright, open and high tech feel that they forgot that...

One of the Reasons I'm Buying a Leaf

If there were ever a case for higher gasoline taxes then this is it. We are clearly at a crossroads where we can make the choice to eschew our dependance on foreign energy for good and all. The Saudi's understand that the momentum for alternatives will only be sustained so long as consumers...

    Scratches on Center Console

After two months of ownership the center console of my LEAF is starting to show some pretty noticeable scratches. The worst of these happened when the hose of a vacuum slid across the surface. Like the upholstery on the door arms, the high gloss acrylic on the LEAF's center console has always...
