    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

It should work, at least with an original battery pack. I used to have a 2011 Leaf, and I used LeafSpy pro to monitor battery health.

    LeafSpy

Ditto on what RPaulThomas said. I never had to register an SSID in order to use LeafSpy. And to emphasize one point he made, make sure you do bluetooth pairing TO THE OBDII DONGLE. Bluetooth to the car's infotainment system will not help.

    Battery life question

Here's the list from the LeafSpy Pro manual: https://www.electricvehiclewiki.com/leaf-spy-pro/#clone-elm327-bluetooth-scanner

Leaf Spy and Leaf Spy Pro

Before paying for the app, try installing LeafSpy Lite, and see if that resolve the communication problem.

    Washer fluid reservoir level

Your post above seems to confirm something that I wasn't sure about until now. Does the rear window washer use the same reservoir as the front? I have a 2019 Leaf S. I've looked, but I've never seen another reservoir for the rear.

HVAC has a mind of its own

My Leaf S does not have the automatic headlights, but my wife's Honda Fit has something similar, and I agree, it's a nice idea, but the implementation needs work.

HVAC has a mind of its own

Thanks, knightmb. That is exactly what is happening to me. Unfortunate that there is no "off" button for this feature, but at least now I know that I've done all I can do.

HVAC has a mind of its own

Thanks, Snakebitten. You made me realize that I left out one important piece of information: I do not use the "auto" button. The amber light in the center of the "auto" button is off while this behavior is happening.

HVAC has a mind of its own

I have a 2019 Leaf S, with the "basic" infotainment system and HVAC controls with physical buttons: one for heat, one for A/C, one for mode, and two dials for fan speed and temperature. Hopefully that conveys my setup. The question is, as the outside temperature changes, the car will change...

    Adventures in EV-land, part 1.

I agree that the LeafSpy is just a nice-to-have, not a must-have. I use it for: checking the battery SOH (state of health) disabling the "selective" door unlock feature (but I think this can be done through the dash now) reading number of L1, L2, and QC charge cycles

Are there any benefits to fully cycling the battery periodically (full to turtle)?

I don't have any inside information on this subject, but my experience with my own 2019 Nissan Leaf (the 40 kWh pack) is that I rarely let the SOC go above 85% or below 15%. And I've seen nothing funny with the SOC indicator on the dash, it seems to be very consistent. In other words, I've...

First car. New kid needs someone to extend their branch for help :T

If the dealer is refusing to provide the required warranty service, you can escalate the matter to Nissan USA customer service (you can google that to find their contact info). However, if you signed a sales contract that says "no dealer warranty," you may be out of luck.

Main battery issues or key fobs??

Might the 12V accessory battery be failing? Or the battery cables are loose? If you have a hand-held voltmeter available, let the car sit 1 hour after turning off, and measure the voltage. With a healthy battery, it should read at least 12.2V.

New 2021 Leaf owner saying hi.

Doug, does your experience suggest that the Sailun tires really improve range, compared to the Bridgestone Ecopia? I might consider them when I need a new set of tires. I probably will not change the rims, however.

2019 Leaf radio reboots/bluetooth connection problems

Following up on what G3NG4R said above, if you are able to cause the problem by following those instructions, then do it again, and see if the reboot is repeatable. In my opinion, there's no point in going back to the dealer until you can reproduce the problem consistently.

    climate control blower output

The climate control on my 2019 Leaf S seems to have a mind of its own. I typically set the "mode" to blow air through the dash vents, and when the outside temp gets cold enough, the mode will switch to floor vents (or to mixed floor and dash). This happens regardless of whether the "auto"...

    Hands-free phone connection doesn't work

I've had over a week now to try out the above suggestions (removing other bluetooth devices, and re-pairing my phone), and I have enough data to say that the problem is definitely not resolved, but seems to occur a little less frequently.

    Hands-free phone connection doesn't work

One more thing to contribute. It will take a few days to find out if the above suggestion works, but while trying to remove and re-pair my phone from the Leaf's list of paired devices, I noticed something: when the problem is happening, I cannot enter the bluetooth settings menu on the car's...

    Hands-free phone connection doesn't work

That's an interesting idea. I do have a bluetooth OBDII dongle that is always plugged in and is paired to my phone. I will unplug it for a week and see if that helps. There are also some other "paired devices" that appear on my phone that I have no idea what they are. I may try "forgetting"...

    Hands-free phone connection doesn't work

I have a 2019 Nissan Leaf S. The car fails to pair with phone about half the time. This is before I try to make a phone call; the status icons on the dash do not appear at all. Re-starting the car will usually resolve the problem. My phone does pair successfully every time in my other car...
