    The 62kWh Battery Topic

I’d say it’s about avg, based on my exp with a 62 kWh replacement.

Clunk/Popping noise from front end - SOLVED (User error)

My 2013 has the same issues: most pronounced when I go from forward to reverse, uphill while turning. (I have a long driveway and prefer for safety to back in). I’d say it all started when I upgraded the battery to 62 kWh, and the springs were replaced. My highly qualified techs cannot find the...

    Windshield heater grille decomposition

The winter after I purchased my 2013, I ran the heater pretty often. The tines in the windshield heater grill appeared as though they’d been eaten by a mouse. One problem: there was no other evidence! No stink ; if there was fecal material it must’ve been way down in the ductwork... none in the...

2013 LEAF for sale in So OR, 41k mi.

Good suggestions, moderators, thanks! Unfortunately, I am currently lacking the web skills to use the discussion list format to post the image I just shot using LEAFSpy. So I will need to forward those to interested persons offline. No Level 3 charging. Respectfully, I'd prefer to list what the...

    Driver Door Handle Problem

My 2013 is separating too, and not from pulling too often; just normal wear. Agree with your solution, but haven’t tried yet. Stay tuned.

    Back door switch not working

Well, it took 5 mins and $102, but the electronic switch was the issue. Pulled plastic cover from hatch; pulled two 10 mm bolts, and the rest is history. Now trying (and failing) to upload the YouTube footage.

    Back door switch not working

My Nissan dealer swears they've never seen a problem like this. In fairness, OR winters are c-c-cold. I did pay a Nissan ASE tech on JustAnswer.com and found out there are no fuses in the line. It's either in a computer, or it's the switch. $102. It was definitely NOT caused by a jam, and yes...

    Back door switch not working

After only 5 years, my hatch open switch it dead. The lock switch (circular) still works fine. Is anyone else having similar problems? Also, what are the chances this is a master computer issue and not the switch? Any bright ideas to troubleshoot? Thank you.

    Popping hatch issue

Noticed an obnoxious sound whenever I closed the hatch. Turns out that the plastic panel mounted on the hatch either never got a felt insulative piece, or it was not thick enough. Took the Nissan tech under a minute to locate the problem, but he was only able to partially dampen it...

    Tires & range

Took possession of my 2013 LEAF in April of this year. Noticed the tires are pretty wide, considering that we're trying to squeeze as much range as possible out of them. Has anyone experimented with a more narrow profile? Obviously there are tradeoffs, such as slightly less cornering traction...

Smear Campagn against EV's being waged by Oil & Auto industr

I'd been driving my CivicWithACord for 25K miles; 10 years; 40 miles per charge on flooded lead acid batteries (100 year-old technology). So you can imagine how STOKED I am to have ordered a 2013 LEAF with LiFePO4 batteries. Now to wait that last month or two until delivery... Oil industries...
