One more chsrging database that is not updated.
not at all... OCM is a community project that is growing rapidly, almost 1000 locations were added in the last 3 weeks alone. The purpose of OCM is to provide a global, free, and open database that apps/maps/sat-nav can use so that we don't need to maintains 100+ maps that we have today.

Can't we just get this data into an existing network like Yelp?
networks like Yelp still need a centralised database of Charging Station locations, capabilities, and status.... thats the purpose of OCM

This is a great idea, but even with this many charging stations listed, it's still woefully out of date. Assuming the US government web information is free, it should be regularly updating from this source: http://www.afdc.energy.gov/afdc/locator/stations/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

we take a regular feed from the the US Government database which is 'woefully out of date'.... today we are aware of over 100 websites and apps and the best is ~50% accurate IMO.... the only answer is agreement on data sharing standards (not likely) or a community project where EV drivers regularily report status of the EV Chargers they use...

I noticed that several locations listed for metro Atlanta were duplicate. The addresses were the same, but the coordinates were slightly different. It might be worthwhile filtering the database to eliminate duplicates.
