I think that unless you are driving and living in the right conditions, this may not be for everyone. Vehicles are designed to allow air to pass through the wheels. Preventing the air from passing through the wheels will hinder the cooling of the brakes if used often (i.e.: city driving in a hilly area). Also prolonged use in wet climates could cause moisture to stay on the components w/ in the wheels accelerating corrosion especially in areas that use salt on the roads in the winter.

The wheel discs should reduce drag. They are rather routinely used on land speed record cars.

To the extent that they might reduce brake cooling, that can be easily offset by proper ducting of cooling air to the brake.

It is however not likely to be a real problem off of a racetrack, since the effect would be the same as the once again somewhat popular disc inserts designed to keep wheels clean from brake dust, only some of which provide for the passage of any air through the wheel:

Anyone make aero wheel covers for the modern leaf? How difference much would it actually make?

The wheels haven't changed, so the "old" aero covers should fit the "new" Leaf. They just have to be 17" in most cases.

I think I have alloy wheels... I'd have to go look, can't honestly even remember. 2018 SV with Tech and Weather package.

But how much difference do the covers really do?
