Yeah, makes sense now. I've had electrical appliances with transformers where it buzzes but you press on the housing and it quiets down. Something about the transformer resonating through the cover. Nothing of concern, just a matter of a slight error in mounting the transformer (or contactor, or whatever it is in this case). Not a safety hazard then, just an annoyance.
