Hi all,

I have access to a 2013 24kWh Nissan Leaf for a university project, and I need to be able to access the vehicle speed which is presumably accessible via the OBD2 port. I have tried a number of free apps and a cheap ELM327 OBD2 bluetooth reader and so far this has not allowed me to log the vehicle speed (only battery power, current, voltage, state of charge, state of health etc).

What would people recommend as the easiest way to access and record this information? I have heard LeafSpy Pro is good but don't want to buy it before I know that it will allow me to do this!

Cheers
Matt

If you don't find what you need through an OBD2 device, you might consider a standalone GPS unit or even a mobile phone. I'm assuming there's some sort of app that will track and record speed.
