4:30 PM EST 8/27 - I'm at the office on the north side of Philly. The rain started about 2PM and now its coming down fairly heavy and steady. The electric company apparently picked the back parking lot behind the office building for a staging area for the bucket and service trucks for this area. There's a collection of about 30 electric trucks sitting back there now. I'll be at the office, at least for a while, to see how the power / Internet / network holds up. We've got a 75 kW backup generator and 2 separate Internet feeds here. Our main stuff is at a datacenter downtown with a pair of 1.5 MW backup generators, so hopefully all will be OK.

The casinos in Atlantic City less than 100 miles from here are closed for the third time in their history. They must think it's serious if one can't even gamble! :)

Electric Trucks or Electrical (service) Trucks. If Electric, please post pics before your power goes out!

Sorry to get you unnecessarily excited; they're all ICE. However, it's still impressive. I'm not used to seeing that many service vehicles anywhere but the electric company's equipment lot.
