In Illinois last week, Green Fleets announced that it has suspended its Alternative Fuel Rebate program.Those who purchased alternative-fuel vehicles during or after 2014 will not receive a $4,000 rebate from the state that they might otherwise have expected. Under the rebate program which begun in 1998, plug-in hybrid car buyers were able to attain rebates up to 80 percent of the incremental cost of the vehicle versus its fossil fuel powered confidante. The stipulation being, there was a $4,000 limit.
 
And people who bough their cars within the alloted time to return them will start returning them now.

I don't mind getting rid of the program per se, but I'd be upset if I bought a car counting on getting $4k back from an existing program, and then it was pulled away after the purchase... :eek: :cry:
