Progress Energy just opened up their EVSE program in North Carolina. They'll pay up to $1500 to install an AV EVSE at your home, maintain it and monitor the usage until April 2013. After that its yours. I heard (haven't found that in print yet) that they were only taking 150 customers that qualified (owned or soon to acquire a compatible electric vehicle) in the Raleigh area and some more in Charlotte. If you're in NC but not in those areas you should sign up anyway if you're interested. I took a quick look at their Florida site but didn't find anything similar there.
