Have any of you who own a LEAF in Virginia had any problems with our hot summers in terms of your battery getting too hot or noticeably losing capacity?

Using the default information Stoaty put in the battery degradation spreadsheet, for Norfolk VA you would still have 71% battery capacity at 9 years (YMMV). In other words pretty close to Nissan projections.

It's pretty close to what I would see here in KC and the summers here are not gentle.

Remember end of life of the battery is 70%. Using Stoaty's math you wouldn't loose first capacity bar (15% IIRC) until sometime after the first 2.5 years of ownership. This is assuming you don't park in the sun. Check out the variables in the excel listing.
