Does the Volt include an RPM gauge to see how fast the gasoline engine is spinning? In gas mode what is the most efficient speed to minimize gas consumption?

It's managed by the car; you have no direct control over the genset speed. Questions like this would probably be best asked and answered over on the Volt forums...
